Canes Closer Bryan Garcia named 2016 NCBWA Stopper of the Year

On Saturday morning just hours before the Miami Hurricanes were set to take the field for their opening game in the 2016 College World Series, junior RHP Bryan Garcia was named the National College Baseball Writer's Association Stopper of the Year.

Garcia has had a standout season for the Canes. With a 2-0 record, 1.95 ERA, .184 batting average against, 18 saves, and 13.62 K/9, Garcia has been dominant throughout the 2016 season.
