The on-campus arena home to both of the Hurricanes basketball teams is getting a new name: the Watsco Center.
Miami announced the new name for the 8,000-seat venue on Monday, with athletic director Blake James calling it "an exciting new chapter for the University of Miami" in a statement.
Watsco, which is based in Miami, is the largest districutor of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration products. It has provided support to UM since the 1990s with its "Watsco's Kids" program providing local children with free access to sporting and performing arts events on campus.
