As he felt his hands close around the ball and pushed his body toward the end zone, Brevin Jordan knew only that he needed to find a way to score, to make the play his team so badly needed.
What he wouldn’t know until later was just how much that 41-yard touchdown would mean not only to himself and the Miami Hurricanes, but to his mother, Beverly, who for the first time, had the opportunity to watch her son play in a game at Hard Rock Stadium.
That game was Miami’s emotional 28-27 comeback win over rival Florida State.
