Jordan suffered a shoulder injury in the second half of the loss at No. 1 Clemson the previous Saturday and left that game early before being listed as questionable by coach Manny Diaz in the week of practice. The team announced his absence in its pregame unavailability report.
Jordan’s 18 receptions for 243 yards and three receiving touchdowns all led the Hurricanes (3-1, 2-1 ACC) entering Saturday.
Miami had fellow junior Will Mallory, listed as a co-starter at tight end on the depth chart, score on a 6-yard touchdown catch from the flat in the second quarter.
