Fall camp is coming to a close as the Hurricanes begin preparing for their Week 1 matchup with Bethune-Cookman.
After weeks of practices, coaches and other observers have a better idea of where the Hurricanes stand heading into Mario Cristobal’s first season in Coral Gables.
Here are some thoughts on each position group, based on time viewing practice, and interviews with Miami coaches and players.
Quarterbacks
Obviously, Tyler Van Dyke is the Hurricanes’ starter. The reigning ACC Rookie of the Year is poised for another big season. Van Dyke, who inherited the starting job after D’Eriq King suffered a season-ending injury against Michigan State, started the last nine games of the 2021 season.
