MIAMI GARDENS – It didn’t take long for Clemson to show it was a stronger, more physical team.
But the quick three-touchdown deficit Miami found itself in wasn’t as bad as what happened early in the second quarter when the Tigers knocked Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya out of the game.
Kaaya, who came into the game as the ACC’s passing leader, was sacked by Clemson’s Shaq Lawson and according to WQAM-560, failed an initial concussion test on the sideline. He was taken into the locker room for further evaluation and the Hurricanes’ radio partner said he would be examined again at halftime.
