Redshirt freshman defensive end Greg Rousseau finished ninth nationally in tackles for loss per game and tied for second in sacks per game. The accomplishments Rousseau had on the field for the Miami football team are remarkable considering he did not become a starter until the Hurricanes’ sixth game of the season.
College football All-American teams are headlined by players from ultra-successful teams or players having such dominant seasons that there is no way to keep them off the team. Rousseau had legendary performances this season in back to back games against Pittsburgh and Florida State with a combined seven sacks.
