Al Golden went 32-25 in four seasons as the head coach of the Miami football program. By Hurricanes’ standards, only one of those seasons can relatively be deemed a success. Golden and Slater discussed Golden’s 2015 firing following a 58-0 loss to Clemson at home, the scheduling involving the Miami football program and the severance Golden received following his October 2015 departure. Golden is currently the linebackers coach of the Detroit Lions.
