For the Hurricanes, bowl eligibility has been secured. A home finale for the seniors has been won. A winning record is already guaranteed.
But now, they say it's time to finish the regular season on a high note, something they couldn't do last year — and something few outside their locker room likely thought was possible after all the tumult Miami has endured this year.
After two blowout losses in four weeks and the midseason firing of coach Al Golden, the Hurricanes have persevered in a way they didn't a year ago. Last November, when their dreams of winning the Coastal Division title and playing for the ACC championship ended after a loss to Florida State, the Hurricanes sputtered in their final games.
