Early in the week there was plenty of talk from Miami players and coaches about stepping up the intensity ahead of the Hurricanes’ second scrimmage of fall camp. It was, coach Al Golden said, the time for players to state their case if they wanted to move up the depth chart.
But on Saturday night, after the scrimmage that was delayed briefly by some inclement weather ended, Golden said that while he and his staff will be making tough decisions in the next couple days, players will still have the chance to push for jobs in the two weeks leading up to Miami’s opener against Bethune-Cookman.
