96 days to Miami football: Jon Ford 2018 season preview

Jon Ford’s Freshmen season was not nearly as productive as Garvin’s. Ford arrived on campus late in the summer. Head Coach Mark Richt thought that slowed his development with the Miami football team. Ford played in seven games recording one tackle.

He will be counted on much more in 2018. The losses of starting defensive tackles Kendrick Norton and R.J. McIntosh, as well as primary backup Anthony Moten, creates a lot of opportunity on the interior of the defensive line.

Gerald Willis is locked in at one defensive tackle. He has received a lot of praise for dominating the line of scrimmage on the scout team last fall and during the spring.
