The fallout from the announced FBI investigation surrounding a Miami Hurricanes Basketball assistant coach and a recruit has had another impact on the Canes’ recruiting efforts.
Late on Wednesday night, SOTU contributor Josh White reported that, per a source close to the situation, 4-star PG Jalen Carey is no longer considering the Miami Hurricanes for his commitment.
The NJ native is likely to choose Syracuse on his Oct. 11 commitment date. He originally listed a final three of Miami, Syracuse and UConn.

Carey is a top 60 player in the 2018 recruiting class at a position of need for the Hurricanes.
