It’s a kicker!
The New England Patriots took the first kicker off the board at 182nd overall (6th round) as Andres Borregales heads to colder weather.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela and raised in South Florida, where he attended Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School, Borregales followed his brother, Jose’s footsteps to the U. Jose set the standard for Andres to replicate as he won the Lou Groza Award given to the nation’s top collegiate kicker.
In college, Andres immediately earned starting duties in 2021 after Jose graduated. He finished the 2021 season connecting 17 out of 21 field goals including a 55-yarder and was 45-for-45 on extra points.
