The Miami Heat battled back from a double-digit deficit with a dominant third quarter, only to let it slip away in the closing moments of Game 3 in a frustrating 110-110 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
Trae Young’s floater with 4.4 seconds left in the game ended up winning the game by the slimmest of margins after a corner 3-pointer by PJ Tucker gave the Heat the lead.
Miami was down by 11 points late in the second quarter but turned it around in dramatic fashion with 21 straight points in the third quarter, their longest such playoff streak in at least 25 years, to give them an 84-68 lead.
