James Johnson, one of the most improved players in the league, continues to show his versatility and power with this dunk-of-the-year candidate in the Miami Heat’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Johnson finished the night with 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists as Miami kept their playoff dreams alive with a very unpleasant, gut-wrenching 19 points 4th quarter compared to Pistons 27. Despite their poor performance down the stretch, Whiteside kept their hopes alive with a last second tip-in to secure the 97-96 win in Miami’s last visit to the Palace at Auburn Hills.
Johnson looked solid with five defensive rebounds that continue to show his passion and hustle off the bench.
