During a Miami Heat versus Oklahoma City Thunder game, Steven Adams noticed a Samoan tattoo on James Johnson’s calf.
Adams has a Tongoan ancestry while Johnson’s mom, Vi Johnson, hails from Leone, Samoa, where a fighting spirit still remains in its athletes, who don’t look tall and skinny.
Padding and protective gear in this rugby match between the Tongo and Samoa aren’t needed.
Now if the NBA had a pregame ritual like that between players, it would quite a spectacle.
CJ Williams found out the hard way what happens when Adams gets upset during a game, when he pushed and tripped Adams in a game.
