The Miami HEAT defeated the Houston Rockets 109-89 Sunday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. Hassan Whiteside led the way for the HEAT with 25 points and 15 rebounds.
1. Whiteside Feasts Inside
With the Rockets playing small in the absence of Dwight Howard, Whiteside went to work early on in the post. The big man fought hard on the offensive glass and scored 11 of his 25 points in the opening quarter alone. Throughout the game, he showed his strength inside and converted a number of tough finishes despite getting fouled.
A big reason why Whiteside fared well was due to Dwyane Wade.
