Despite beating the Indiana Pacers in thrilling fashion Monday, the Miami Heat felt the absence of Hassan Whiteside in a big way. Chris Andersen, who started in his place, was a disaster with a minus-24 plus-minus in just 10 minutes.
Whiteside, who sat out with a right knee injury, can’t remember how he hurt it. He nor the team is sure what exactly is the matter. Per the Miami Herald, he probably won’t be ready to play against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
And despite being listed as “a game-time decision” by coach Erik Spoelstra, Whiteside said he really wasn’t close at all to playing against the Pacers.
