HEAT.com’s player spotlight for the past week features James Johnson. Of regular rotation players, Johnson led the team with a plus-10 net rating over Miami’s last three contests. In particular, the 29-year-old provided a spark off the bench against the Thunder on Monday and the Jazz on Saturday. In those games, the versatile forward showed great footwork driving to the basket and finished a bunch of plays at the rim. Johnson also created for his teammates very well and ran the break whenever the opportunity presented itself.
His best outing came against Utah on Saturday, as he scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists.
