MIAMI, October 25 - Pat Riley has released the following statement on the passing of Flip Saunders:
“Flip Saunders was and always will be family. He was part of a gigantic NBA family where we all competed with a fierce respect, integrity and staunch character. It is with great sadness I want to send his family and the Timberwolves our prayers, compassion and sympathy to all. ‘Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name.’ Flip Saunders soul and the heart of his family and loved ones are now in the forever hands of The Lord.
