While Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason, the team made a move on Wednesday to lock up another one of its top players.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Heat plan to sign star center Bam Adebayo to a three-year, $166 million maximum contract extension. He would've been eligible for a four-year, $245 million supermax contract if he was selected to one of the three All-NBA teams, but Wednesday's agreement is a solid haul for the 26-year-old.
