As expected, the Miami Heat have started to fill the two open roster spots. On Sunday, Miami signed guard Briante Weber to a rest-of-season contract that runs though 2017-18.
"Typically when you have somebody that's so dynamic as a ball thief, sometimes that can translate to excess gambling," Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "But when I watched his edits from college and then even this year in Sioux Falls, he has the tough balance of being able to be a bulldog, pesky defender, but also to be extremely disruptive and to force turnovers.
