The Miami Heat and American Airlines Arena have been synonymous with one another for quite a long time now. Being the name on the building since New Year’s Eve of 1999, it has seen the Heat win three titles along the way. As we found out earlier this week, this partnership will be no more as American Airlines has chosen not to renew their agreement.
As the arena surely won’t go without a name for long, it was reported by Miami Today on September 10th that there is a “nationally renown company” in “advanced talks” to procure the naming rights and that they even “toured the site”.
