Miami Heat sign Chris Silva to two-way contract

Following the conclusion to their 4-1 preseason, the Miami Heat announced that they have picked up the team option to convert Chris Silva’s contract to a two-way contract for the 2019-20 NBA regular season.

Silva played well during his limited appearances during the preseason after signing with the Heat on July 11, appearing in five games averaging 5.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.00 steals and 9.8 minutes. He shot 69.2 percent (9-of-13) from the field and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the foul line. He also appeared in six Summer League games (all starts) for the Heat, averaging 7.
