The Miami Heat has released wing Henry Walker, according to the Miami Herald.
Although the 15-man roster doesn’t need to be set until before the regular season, the team was facing an August 1 deadline for players with partial guaranteed contracts. Besides Walker, this includes James Ennis, Tyler Johnson, and Hassan Whiteside.
Heat has informed Henry Walker that he is being released.
Walker averaged 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds for Miami last season, shooting 35 percent from the field and 34 percent on 3-pointers. Miami’s roster now stands at 14, not counting unsigned rookie guard Josh Richardson.
