As expected, the Miami Heat have brought Richardson back for Sunday’s game against the Wizards after spending the last several days with the Skyforce, Miami’s D-League affiliate.
Stokes wasn’t initially expected to join the team Sunday, but it makes sense that Miami paired the two together in the recall. Erik Spoelstra mentioned earlier that Richardson will be spending more time in the D-League, so treating them as a package could be a trend this season.
Both Richardson and Stokes have played well in their time in the D-League. Richardson scored 30 points in the his debut with the Skyforce.
