Udrih's contract can still be claimed by another team or he will be bought out by the Heat.
With the addition of former All-Star Joe Johnson over the weekend, the Miami Heat once again went back over the luxury tax threshold. As reported earlier on Hot Hot Hoops however, a deal that had been in the works to buy out the contract of injured point guard Beno Udrih has been completed that will allow them to once again trim payroll to avoid paying the luxury tax.
Miami has now officially announced the waiving of Udrih via a press release and he will now be on the waiver wire for the next 48 hours.
