Green put pen to paper late Thursday to become the newest member of the Heat.
Free agent guard Gerald Green quickly agreed to terms with the Miami Heat on the first day players could sign with their teams and he was officially signed soon afterwards.
Green's signing caps a busy day for the Heat, who not only signed starting point guard Goran Dragic -- a former Phoenix Suns teammate of Green -- but also reportedly entered negotiations with free agent Amar'e Stoudemire and reached out to Marcus Thornton.
