On February 19th, 2015, Goran Dragic forced his way out of Phoenix to the Miami Heat after half a season of frustratingly sharing the backcourt with both Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas. The cost for the Miami Heat were two first-round picks along with Danny Granger, Norris Cole, Shawne Williams, and Justin Hamilton. Those are similar assets that the Cleveland Cavaliers had to give up to the Denver Nuggets for starting center Timofey Mozgov (two first-round picks + role players).

Now, as of July 1st, 2015, GM Pat Riley of the Miami Heat has invested long-term in the young Yugoslavian point guard with a fresh, five-year, $90 million contract (~$18 million/year on average).
