MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat players did more than dish out baskets on Friday. The organization hosted its 24th Annual Heat Thanksgiving Celebration that assisted underprivileged families.
The festivities were held from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Miami Rescue Mission at 2020 NW 1st Ave.
The entire organization, including all the Heat players, attended the event.
All residents of the Greater Miami area were invited, but the event was especially meaningful for a select group of approximately 600 underprivileged families.
