On Monday, the Miami Heat took the step of guaranteeing Duncan Robinson‘s $1.4 million salary for next season. According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the deed is done:
The Heat will pick up Duncan Robinson’s $1 million guarantee today, an NBA source tells the Sun Sentinel, assuredly leaving him with a regular-season roster spot.
July 15th was his guarantee date, so it kicked in automatically as we hit Monday. As Winderman notes, this almost certainly indicates that Robinson will be on the Heat roster next season, unless of course he is involved in a trade.
