One quarter was all it took for the Heat to drop Friday’s game.
Despite outscoring the Pacers by eight over the first, third and fourth quarters, Miami (6-9) just couldn’t overcome a rough second period in a 99-91 loss to Indiana (9-6) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It marked the Heat’s seventh loss in 10 games.
The Heat started the second quarter with a nine-point lead and ended it in a seven-point hole. The Pacers began the period on a 26-5 run and went on to outscore the Heat 32-16 during the 12-minute stretch.
The 16 points Miami scored tied a season-low for points in a quarter, matching the 16 it scored in the first quarter of its Oct.
