If you have seen either of the Miami Heat’s games against the Cleveland Cavaliers this year, then you probably already know what you’re about to read. Duncan Robinson was never supposed to be here. He was a Division III college basketball player who, after his coach left the program, somehow managed to land a scholarship at the University of Michigan.
After playing three seasons under John Beilein, ironically enough the current coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, he continued to scrap himself into the NBA. Playing most of his rookie year during last season with the Miami Heat’s G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Robinson only played 15 games for the big club during all of last season.
