Two days after the news first broke, the Miami Heat have now officially signed Greg Whittington on Thursday.
The versatile forward was a solid addition to the Summer League roster after almost two years away from the game following a serious injury he sustained while playing for Georgetown. He played well in both the Orlando and Las vegas tournaments. He fielded several overseas offers afterwards but chose to sign with the Heat on what is likely a non-guaranteed contract that will allow the team to transition him to their D-League affiliate Sioux Falls Skyforce should he not make the roster after training camp.
