The Miami Heat were a part of a 3-team trade Tuesday, sending center and fan-favorite Chris “Birdman” Andersen to the Memphis Grizzlies and picking up backup point guard Brian Roberts from the Charlotte Hornets.
Miami also sent a pair of second future round picks to Memphis – although one is “heavily protected”. Andersen reunites with former Heat guard Mario Chalmers in Memphis.
The trade, which was originally reported by Adrian Wojnarowski, was centered around guard Courtney Lee – who was sent from Memphis to Charlotte.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the Miami Heat have not confirmed the deal.
