Miami Heat acquire Brian Roberts, trade Chris Andersen

The Miami Heat have traded for point guard Brian Roberts in a three-team deal involving Chris Andersen. The trade was originally reported by Yahoo! Sports’ The Vertical and later announced by the team.

The Heat will receive Roberts, a 30-year-old point guard from the Charlotte Hornets. The Heat will send Andersen and two conditional second round picks to the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis will send guard Courtney Lee to the Hornets for PJ Hairston and two future second round picks.

Roberts had played four seasons in the NBA, averaging 7.4 points and 2.6 assists in 18.5 minutes per game for his career.
