With the Utah Jazz losing Dante Exum to a torn ACL, they could have a need at point guard. Rumors have been swirling that they could be in the market for Mario Chalmers, who the Miami Heat have reportedly been trying to trade this off-season.
The fit makes sense for a few reasons. The Jazz could use a veteran backup behind point guard Trey Burke, and they are currently about $7 million under the cap. They could fit Chalmers under their cap without having to send anything back to Miami–which would be ideal for Micky Arison as he tries to dodge a steep luxury tax bill.
