Kevin Edwards was a 6'3" shooting guard and one of the starting five in Miami's first ever game. A native of Cleveland Heights, OH, he was born on October 30th, 1965. He played college ball with the Blue Demons at DePaul, averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per apperance over two seasons. Miami selected him with the 20th overall pick in the 1988 draft. They had procured the pick from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for a promise that the Heat would select Arvid Kramer with their expansion draft selection.
