Kelly Olynyk will be getting extra reps this summer, but it won’t be in the Drew league or an NBA Summer League. Instead, Olynyk will be playing for his country, Canada, on the Senior Men’s Canadian National Team.
According to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun Olynyk has been part of Team Canada for many years playing from 2008-2011 and in the 2015 Rio Olympics Qualifiers. When asked why he keeps returning, Olynyk said:
“I love the game of basketball, I love my country. Simple as that,”
Team Canada is getting ready for a slew of games, and Olynyk seems excited about their chances.
