The Miami Heat today announced forward Derrick Jones Jr will miss a minimum of six weeks before being re-evaluated after an MRI scan this morning confirmed he has suffered “two right knee bone bruises”.
Jones Jr will begin treatment immediately and the team will take a further look at the injury in six weeks, however it could be up to eight weeks before we see the 21-year-old suited back up ready for action.
The absence of Jones Jr is sure to be felt by the team, as he has been in great form this season with his efforts from the bench.
