MIAMI – The Miami HEAT Retail Department—the only six-time winner of the National Basketball Association’s Team Retailer of the Year award—continues to garner league-wide accolades for its successful merchandising operations. During the NBA’s Annual Retail Meetings, hosted last week in Las Vegas, the HEAT won the “In-Arena Retail Per-Cap Award” for the fifth time and the “Full Nelson Award” for the second time. The In-Arena Retail Per-Cap Award recognizes the franchise that has achieved the highest overall retail sales among the league’s 30 teams. The Full Nelson Award was presented to Andy Montero, Vice President of Retail Business Development for the HEAT, for demonstrating the most passion, leadership and dedication to improving the collective team business in the NBA.
