MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — The Miami Heat’s roster has been going through a lot of changes due to injuries lately.

Guard Beno Udrih was waived Monday by the Heat, a move that could help the team get back under the luxury-tax threshold.

Udrih had surgery to repair a foot injury last week, and is expected to need three months to recover.

If he is claimed by another team by Wednesday, the Heat would have the flexibility to add another player in the coming days and still remain below the tax line.
