In what could be viewed as the Heat’s first big test of the season, and a possible preview of the Eastern Conference Finals, they did not make the grade. Miami fell to former Heat member LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 102-92, to drop to 1-1 on the season.
Dwyane Wade paced the Heat, finishing with 25 points and four rebounds. Chris Bosh added 16 points and five rebounds. Hassan Whiteside scored 11 points, to go along with nine rebounds and six blocked shots.
James led the Cavaliers with 29 points and five rebounds. Kevin Love finished with 24 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.
