The Miami Heat are welcoming back forward Luke Babbitt after reportedly acquiring him from the Atlanta Hawks today in exchange for injured forward Okaro White. The trade, completed just two hours before the NBA trade deadline, was first reported by ESPN’s Marc Spears.
Babbitt signed with the Hawks last summer after a solid first season with the Heat in which he averaged 4.8 points and 41.8% 3-point FG in 68 games, 55 of them as a starter in which the Heat went 31-24 (as noted by Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald).
