Heat trade for forward Luke Babbitt and may not be done dealing before deadline

The Miami Heat are bringing Luke Babbitt back.

In Pat Riley’s first – and potentially only – move before Thursday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline, the Heat reacquired the 28-year old forward and three-point specialist from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for injured forward Okaro White.

The Heat, in the midst of a five-game losing streak and clinging to seventh place in the Eastern Conference at 29-26, are still having trade discussions with teams to beef up the roster with veteran Hawks guard Marco Belinelli, 31, among the players Miami is still interested in.

Babbitt, 28, started 55 games for the Heat last season at power forward and shot 41.
