Heat Top Hornets In Season Opener

The Miami Heat got off on the right foot to start their 2015 campaign, with a 104-94 victory on their home floor against the Charlotte Hornets. Miami got off on a quick 8-2 run, prompting Hornets head coach Steve Clifford to take a quick timeout.

The Hornets responded by continually finding big man Al Jefferson down low matched up against Hassan Whiteside, a match-up that worked in favor of Charlotte. Erik Spolestra was forced to sit down Whiteside, as he found himself in early foul trouble.
