The Miami Heat’s deadline day trades gave them two open roster spots. The Heat used one of those slots on Dewayne Dedmon, who has filled in admirably as a backup center. And today, the team announced that center Omer Yurtseven had signed to a deal for the final roster spot.
Yurtseven played with the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League and averaged 15.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season. Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reported that his contract is non-guaranteed for next season, but that it gets him in the Heat’s developmental system.
