The Miami Heat have signed Okaro White to a two-year deal following the expiration of his second 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical. To make room for the 24-year-old, the Heat had to release former No. 2 overall pick Derrick Williams.
The 6-foot-8 White has provided a boost for the Heat off the bench, averaging 4.1 points, on 48 percent shooting, and 2.6 rebounds per game. He has also shown the ability to stretch the floor, converting on 46 percent of his 3-point field goals in the nine games in which he's played.
