Heat hosting “Dance for Aaliyah” event to support former dancer’s daughter

The Miami Heat has announced they will be holding a special “Dance For Aaliyah” event at the AmericanAirlines Arena this Friday to help raise funds for a family in need.

Former Heat dancer Tangela Patton’s three-month-old daughter, Aaliyah, was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma—a rare form of cancer, so the Heat are asking fans to come out to the XFinity East Plaza at the AA Arena to participate in a three-hour dance marathon to help with the mounting medical costs.

The event takes place from 8pm to 11pm and will feature the Heat Dancers, Burnie and the full HEAT Experience, Pitbull’s official dancers “The Most Bad Ones,” and other members of the local dance community to raise funds that will help Aaliyah.
