MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — On a day where the Miami Heat officially signed Goran Dragic to a 5-year contract, the news out of South Florida wasn’t all good.
Heat guard Tyler Johnson has a broken jaw and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.
Johnson was injured in Miami’s summer-league game at Orlando on Wednesday. He lost a tooth in a midcourt collision while running into a screen. Further evaluation revealed the jaw fracture.
The Heat released a statement on Thursday regarding Johnson’s injury.
“Tyler Johnson suffered a fractured jaw during the third quarter of last night’s Summer League game.
