Heat Guard Tyler Johnson Has Broken Jaw

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — On a day where the Miami Heat officially signed Goran Dragic to a 5-year contract, the news out of South Florida wasn’t all good.

Heat guard Tyler Johnson has a broken jaw and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.

Johnson was injured in Miami’s summer-league game at Orlando on Wednesday. He lost a tooth in a midcourt collision while running into a screen. Further evaluation revealed the jaw fracture.

The Heat released a statement on Thursday regarding Johnson’s injury.

Tyler Johnson suffered a fractured jaw during the third quarter of last night’s Summer League game.
